Funeral Planning benefits you and your loved ones!

The idea behind funeral planning is simply that one day a great deal of vital information about you will be needed by your family and anyone whose responsibility it is to assist them. There is no doubt that those who plan ahead are more comfortable knowing not only that their personal wishes will be fulfilled, but also that unnecessary difficulties can be avoided.

Both you and your loved ones can benefit when funeral arrangements are made well in advance of need. By discussing plans in advance, you can consider the many options available to you and your family and make logical, informed decisions at an unhurried pace. A carefully planned funeral service can also be the most comforting to your family. It can spare them from facing decisions that can be so difficult at a time of death. Plus, your family will have the peace of mind knowing that the arrangements reflect your true wishes.

We encourage you to discuss your thoughts and decisions with your family and call us if you have additional questions. Planning ahead basically involves several steps. First, recording all the necessary statistical and biographical information that will be required at time of need. Second, the selection of type of service and merchandise preferred. For your convenience, we have provided an easy way to record this information. Simply complete the Pre-Planning form by clicking here to begin recording your personal information. After we receive your personal and confidential information, we will contact you to confirm your response and keep your information on file at the funeral home.

Because we realize individual wishes and situations are personal, we want to assure you of our high respect for complete confidentiality. The information you record will be used only for funeral planning and no information contained therein will be sold to, or shared with anyone other than you or your authorized family representative.

Though not a requirement, you may wish to pre-fund your funeral arrangements in an FDIC insured PrePlan funeral trust account. The pre-paid trust is designed to keep up with the cost of inflation thus guaranteeing your family will not have to pay the inflated cost in the future. That is the purpose of the trust program. In certain circumstances such as applying for admission to a nursing home or long term care facility, it may become necessary to pre-fund a funeral by establishing an PrePlan irrevocable trust to "spend down" assets to qualify for Medicaid. We can explain these options to you as well as making you aware of all government benefits you may be entitled to.

("New York State law mandates that all contracts for pre-funded funerals executed by applicants for or recipients of Medicaid be irrevocable".) - effective January 1,1977

We welcome the opportunity to meet personally with you and your family to discuss our services more fully… or to simply answer your questions. Please feel free to call or contact us.
