- Arrangement conference with your family to obtain necessary information for filing certificates and permits, planning for visitation, religious services (if selected), and deciding on burial or cremation.
- Securing the death certificate from the hospital, medical examiner or treating physician.
- Filing of all necessary legal documents, including the death certificate, obtaining the burial or cremation permit, and obtaining certified copies of the death certificate needed to settle the deceased's estate.
- Assisting the family with the compilation of an obituary, if desired, and placement in selected newspapers.
- Offering an extensive selection of cremation options such as urns, memorial jewelry and cremation caskets for families preferring cremation to earth burial or entombment.
- Coordinating arrangements with the cemetery, crematory or other place of disposition.
- Assisting the family in selecting and ordering the casket and or vault with respect to size or material requirements of their cemetery.
- Providing clothing which may be selected at the funeral home or arranging with the family to pick up particular articles of clothing or jewelry, for burial, belonging to the deceased.
- Arranging for certain cash advances, as selected, which may include copies of the death certificate, clergy honorariums, cemetery or crematory expenses, hairdressing, death notices, livery, etc.
- Providing items such as prayer cards, acknowledgement cards, guest registry books, service folders, rosary beads, crucifix or cross, and casket plate as selected by your family.
- Coordinating the care and placement of floral arrangements and their distribution following the funeral.
- Arranging for the pallbearers and special services (military and/or fraternal) as requested by your family.
- Securing all floral cards, Mass cards, or other memorial contributions presented to the family at the funeral home. Provide memorial envelopes for donations in the memory of the deceased.
- Assisting your family with the cost considerations of the funeral, with respect to the family's budget.
- Providing payment options such as credit card processing and financing options.
- Directing of the funeral in a professional manner, and assurance that procession will arrive at the church, if a religious ceremony is to be held, and the cemetery in a timely manner.
