Mrs. Kearns was born in Brooklyn and moved to Midland Beach in 1962. She worked as a nurse at the New York Foundling Hospital for six years. She taught CCD at St. Margaret Mary's Church. In her leisure time she enjoyed going to the beach in Monterey, N.J.
